TBR — Richmond, VA – Gospel Music recording artist and Worship Leader for Joel Osteen Ministries, Israel Houghton stopped in Richmond, VA on Wednesday to “Hang with The Belle” and to promote his brand new movie “I’m in Love with a Church Girl, featuring Adrienne Bailon, Jeff ‘Ja Rule” Atkins and Stephen Baldwin.”
Making every minute count, Houghton rolled into the city with his huge Promotional “I’m in Love with a Church Girl” Bus, and headed straight for the Praise 104.7FM studio with The Belle, where they talked about his new movie, his latest release and being on the road.
From there he was off to St. Paul’s Baptist Church where he delivered a full live concert with his band. Shortly after taking the stage and to the surprise of many Kierra “KiKi” Sheard joined him as one of his background singers for the evening. Houghton sang some of his older songs to some of newer cuts including, “It’s Not Over” and “Sunday Kind of Love” that is also featured in his movie, “I’m in Love with a Church Girl.”
Throughout the evening, Houghton’s crew gave away promotional T-Shirts, Baseball caps and other items associated with the new movie.
Some of the cast and crew of the movie also made an appearance including Stephen Baldwin who has one of the leading roles.
Before the night was over there were long lines to purchase CD’s, T-Shirts, Baseball caps and just about anything that Israel and his crew were selling.
It was truly a power packed Wednesday night that blessed everyone in attendance.
“I’m in Love with a Church Girl” hits movie theaters everywhere on Friday, October 18th, 2013.
