Capital Square locked down, bomb squad responds to governor’s mansion

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — A lockdown at Virginia’s Capitol Square was lifted Wednesday afternoon.
This after the Richmond Police bomb squad responded to the Virginia Governor’s Mansion, according to Richmond Police spokesman Gene Lepley.
Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell was working “as normal” during the lockdown in Capitol Square, according to spokesman Tucker Martin.
There has been no word on what promoted the lockdown.
