Dr. King Celebration Gospel Concert-Wisconsin

Coming off a phenomenal 14 city tour in Spain, Chicago Mass Choir will begin the New Year honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. In celebration of the Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday, Chicago Mass Choir will head to Wisconsin to join other artists from the Midwest for a live concert.

On, Saturday, January 18th, Chicago Mass Choir will sing during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Gospel Concert at Carthage College Siebert Chapel, 2001 Alford Park Drive, Kenosha, WI. The doors will open at 3pm and concert will begin at 4pm.

Sponsored by, Carthage College and Gateway Technical College, The Gospel Concert will celebrate Dr. King, who was a profound theologian, scholar, author and community leader.   Dr. King’s legacy of excellence, non-violence and justice is promoted and practiced in many communities around the world.

Similar to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Chicago Mass Choir has promoted excellence in the community since 1988 through outreach, education and donations to several non-profit organizations. Chicago Mass Choir is grateful for the opportunity to honor Dr. King with their music and dedication.

Chicago Mass Choir President/CEO, Dr. Feranda Williamson expressed the importance of remembering Dr. King’s life and contributions:

“It is very important that we NEVER forget the contributions of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King’s commitment to equality allows us to be able to vote, attend any school in the United States and other rights that African Americans were restricted as citizens of the United States. The ironic point is that it has been within the last 49 years since the passing of the bill that gave all citizens of the United States the right to register and vote. Just thank God for Dr. Martin Luther King and today being able to enjoy the DREAM of equality that is now a reality.”

If you are in the Wisconsin area on January 18th, be sure join Chicago Mass Choir and other artists to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
