Five Young Men 2014TBR — Jackson, MS — The group Five (V) Men consists of five musical superstars, coming from different genres of music, ranging from R&B to Contemporary Gospel to Traditional Gospel. This group of world renowned, Grammy nominated, Billboard chart topping – unbelievably talented men are coming together for the very first time ever to create something new, something fresh, something unique and something that has never been done before in the history of gospel music.

Bringing this group of creative minds together, along with their awesome vocal and musical abilities can create nothing less than something PHENOMENAL. FIVE (V) MEN:

Christopher Williams – One of the most popular R&B/Hip Hop artists of the 80’s and 90’s. He had several major hit songs during that time, most notably, his #1 single on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop chart “I’m Dreamin”, which was taken from the “New Jack City” Soundtrack. Williams also had a starring role in that movie. Also, he has been featured recently in several Off Broadway plays, including J.D. Lawrence’s hit stage play “The Clean Up Woman”.

Melvin Williams – Lead singer of the seven (7) time Grammy nominated, fifteen (15) time Stellar Award winning, internationally known group “The Williams Brothers”. He has performed at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and Madison Square Garden.

Doug Williams – Also lead singer of the seven (7) time Grammy nominated, fifteen (15) time Stellar Awards winning, internationally known group “The Williams Brothers”. He has performed at such prestigious venues as The Apollo Theatre, The Louisiana Superdome and The House of Blues.

Shawn McLemore – Gospel recording artist Shawn Mclemore has felt a calling on his life to spread the word of God since he was a child. The Los Angeles native grew up in the church under strong tutelage. In addition to pursuing a musical career, Shawn is also an accomplished stage actor, staring in productions that have toured across the country. Today, he is currently enjoying success from collaboration with fellow artist James Fortune on the hit single, I Believe, which reached number one on the Billboard gospel chart.

Wess Morgan – Wess knew at a young age that music and God was destined to be an integral part of his life. His first solo project, “Look At Me Now”, was released in 2007.  

In 2011, Wess released his sophomore CD (and live DVD), which featured the smash hit “I Choose To Worship”, that landed on Billboard’s 2011 Top-10 record label list, and also garnered a Dove Award and Stellar Award nomination for Wess, as well as winning BMI’s Gospel Song of the Year. Wess has appeared in the Christmas special “Holiday Love” with Kim Fields and has made appearances on: Bobby Jones Gospel, the Mo’Nique Show, Gospel Superfest, and Super Bowl Gospel celebration. More recently, Wess appeared on BET’s Sunday Best and Tyler Perry’s stage play Madea’s Neighbors from Hell.
