Richmond, VA – Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen have been found guilty on federal corruption, conspiracy and bribery charges in Richmond today.

McDonnell was found guilty on 11 counts different counts and Maureen was convicted of eight counts of corruption as well an obstruction charges. The jury found the couple not guilty on wire fraud charges.

The McDonnells and supporters cried as the verdict was handed down in federal court, according to NBC12.

Bob McDonnell and Maureen will be sentenced January 6, 2015.

One of McDonnell’s attorneys said “this is far from over.”
