Richmond, VA — Today’s Gospel Music scene has many award programs that bestow honor upon artists and those involved in the creative process.  The Gospel Announcers Guild believes that the time has come to salute the efforts of dedicated media organizations and personalities who show devotion and excellence in their annual service to the Gospel industry. 

Included on the this year’s list of nominations are The Yolanda Adams Show, CoCo Brother for best Syndicated Radio Show and Sheilah Belle for best Print Media Outlet.

Since Gospel music’s inception, radio has been the primary vehicle of reach to generate awareness and acceptance of this sacred form of music. While many other forms of media support Gospel, we believe it is fitting that radio, through the Gospel Announcer’s Guild of the Gospel Music Worshop of America introduced an honors event to the world.

 The event, “The Crystal Mic Media Awards” premiered at the 40th Anniversary Luncheon of the Gospel Announcer’s Guild, July 27, 2010.
