As the 2012 election approaches, many young voters and volunteers say they have lost the zeal to campaign for President Obama like they did in 2008.

Interviews around the country suggest that while college students are still likely to vote for Obama, most are not ready to take to the streets like they did in 2008.
“I don’t think I could do it anymore,” Emma Guerrero, an Obama ’08 volunteer from Nevada said. “That campaign was an amazing experience. But I don’t think I’m in the same mind-set anymore. He hasn’t really addressed the young people, and we helped him to get elected.”
