Gospel music has often been touted as the inspiration for a variety of musical genres, but now more than ever it’s uplifting nature and ability to encourage all of God’s children is gaining much respect from even the world of Hip Hop.
DJ Premier, who is said to be one of the greatest music producers of all time, has had a trailblazing career that’s been influenced by more Gospel that we’d ever imagine. He recently spoke of how humility has helped in maintain longevity in the business, but he also gave insight on the Gospel legends he listens to like The Clark Sisters whenever he feels like “praising God.”
