Whitney with daughter Bobbi Kristina

Gospel singer BeBe Winans has been friends with Whitney Houston for years, and now he is addressing on going conversations about the late singer’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is headed down a bad path following her mother’s death.  “We’ll be there for her,” says BeBe.  “She was raised in this kind of life, so she understands rumors are just gonna be rumors.…

The world should understand that she lost a mother, so she’s hurting and she’s lost, but she’ll make it through prayer and just surrounding herself with people who love her.  She’ll be just fine.”

ET confirms that the 18-year-old aspiring singer Bobbi Kristina is with her family in Atlanta.  She is joined by security and her sober coach Warren Boyd.

Pastor Marvin Winans, who gave the eulogy at Whitney’s funeral last week, remembers her as “just this mischievous little girl from New Jersey.”  He says, “She could give you all the glamour in the world … She wasn’t ‘putting on.’  She was who she was, and when she found people that accepted her for that, [she wouldn’t let you go].”

BeBe, who sang at the home going service, says, “The atmosphere was filled with joy amidst the sorrow.”  During the memorial he recalled the lighter side of Whitney.  “We celebrate her voice and [her] accomplishments, but to us and to others who were very close to her, it was the crazy Whitney that we enjoyed,” he says.

BeBe, Marvin and their brother Carvin have formed a new group.  The trio has been in the studio recoding a special song in honor of Whitney and their brother Ronald, who died in 2005.
