In the Tuesday primary, Mitt Romney walked away victorious gaining the most votes in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Currently, Romney has more than half of the eleven-hundred-44 delegates needed to win the Republican president nomination. In the latest, USA TODAY Gallup poll says, If today was election day President Obama will have 49% to Mitt Romney’s 45%.
Although, Romney has more delegates that voted for him, Santorum is not discouraged. Instead, Santorum already begun to campaign in his home state for support. Pennsylvania’s primary will be held on April 24, 2012
In a Pennsylvania rally last night Santorum states, “You know me. You know how hard I work. They’ll say all the things, that I’m someone who doesn’t stand up for what I believe in. You know me.”
Will Mitt Romney continue to take the lead? Will Santorum’s home state give him the support he needs to catch up with Romney?
Stayed tuned for updates.
