Baltimore, MD — One of the leading independent gospel music labels, Habakkuk Music, is launching an ambitious summer marketing campaign that begins June 3rd to kick off Black Music Month.  The campaign revolves around six new CD releases that Habakkuk is issuing under the umbrella theme of Got Gospel? Six Sounds of Summer.

“We have secured two great branding partners for the campaign,” says Habakkuk Music founder and CEO, April Washington Essex. “Veda Brown, CEO of Black Gospel Promo, and I are partnering to release a new CD compilation series, Got Gospel? The Best Indie Tracks…Yesterday, Today & Forever. The first installment of that series releases on June 5th but the first CD of the campaign drops on May 22nd with the release of Chenta Jones’ set, Transformed. Our other branding partnership is with FYE stores, our key retail partner. The Got Gospel? Six Sounds of Summer will include in-store branding, in-store concerts, autograph sessions and other cool components.”

The six projects included in the campaign are:

5/22  Cheneta Jones – Transformed

6/5    Various Artists – Got Gospel?: The Best Indie Tracks…Yesterday, Today & Forever Presented by Black Gospel Promo.com

7/3    Clint Brown – Release

7/17  Gerald Scott & Company – Incredible

8/28   Lisa Page Brooks- Better Than Life

9/28   Valencia Lacy – Title: TBD

The campaign will be implemented in sixty FYE stores nationwide that attract black gospel music consumers.
