Washington, DC– The Washington Nationals to host their first ever “Faith Night” at Nationals Park in Washington, DC on April 16th 2012. Pastor Joel Osteen of The Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas will be on hand to throw out the first pitch.

A special group ticket prices are available that include a donation to the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation to fund programs that assist underserved youth in the district. As part of the activities for “Faith Night”, three church Praise Team musical groups (choirs, ensembles or solo singers) will be selected to perform in Centerfield Plaza.

Gospel recording artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis has been chosen to sing the Star Spangled Banner on the field prior to the game. The Washington Nationals will be playing the Houston Astros.  Game time is 7:05 (EST).
