President Obama was scheduled to speak at the Summit of the Americans. Allegedly 11 agents of the Secret Service and Officers that were guarding the President, brought back prostitutes to a hotel in Cartagena, Colombia. After the Secret Service refused to pay for the service of the prostitutes, the prostitutes went to the police and filed a report. The police went to the U.S. Embassy and reported the incident.
President Obama states, “”We’re representing the people of the United States and when we travel to another county I expect us to observe the highest standards. Obviously what’s been reported doesn’t match up with those standards.”
The alleged misconduct took place before the President arrived in Cartagena. The five U.S. troops that were working with the President have been sent home. The Secret Service agents have also been sent home and are currently on administrative leave.
President Obama states, “I’ll wait until the full investigation is complete until I pass final judgment.”
