Washington, DC—The Washington Nationals hosted their first ever “Faith Night” at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, on April 16th, 2012 at 7 pm (EST). Pastor Joel Osteen of the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas threw out the first pitch. Over 16,000 people were in attendance where the National’s defeated the Houston Astros 6 to 3. Go Nationals!

 

As part of the activities for “Faith Night”, three church Praise Team musical groups (choirs, ensembles or solo singers) were selected to perform in Centerfield Plaza. Gospel recording artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis had the crowd on their feet has she sung a heartfelt rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that had the Osteen’s singing her praises.
