Aretha Franklin Set to host Gospel concert at her late Father’s Church

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, is getting set to host a high profile Gospel concert on August 17th.  Set to take place  at her late father’s church, New Bethel Baptist, 8430 C.L. Franklin Blvd. in Detroit, special guests include, ” Pastor Shirley Caesar, along with the Five Blind Boys of Alabama, the Rev. Donald Parsons of Logos Baptist Church in Illinois and Evangelist Dottie Peoples.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and there will be a soul food spread with baked chicken, greens, macaroni and cheese, oxtail soup, spaghetti, Nikola’s barbecue, peach cobbler and much more.
