Los Angeles, CA — THE MERGE SUMMIT 2012 returned for its fourth year at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles. The event, took place over the weekend with a great turn out as it provided a platform for men and women of faith to interface with, learn from and partner with leading executives and talent in the entertainment industry.

Each year, THE MERGE SUMMIT has grown and changed to represent the evolution of the entertainment business, while always remaining true to our original purpose: to give a voice and opportunity for the gifts and talent of creative men and women of faith who have stories to tell”, says SUMMIT Founder and Chair Holly Carter.

Added SUMMIT Co-Founder & Co-Chair Robi Reed: “Each year, I grow more excited with anticipation of the Merge. It has proven to be an invaluable source of information for all who attend. I have no doubt this time around will be even greater.”

Some of this years special guests for panel discussions to Master Classes included Denzel Washington, Lisa Raye McCoy, Rushion McDonald, COO/Executive Producer and the man behind the Steve Harvey brand, Niecy Nash, Stan Lathan, Essence Atkins, Suzanne de Passe, Harry Lennix, Mali Music, Sheilah Belle, Gwendolyn Quinn, Fonzworth Bentley, Regina King and many many others.

The Merge Summit weekend, opened with its 4th Annual Opening Night Gala Reception, which was co-hosted this year by Fonzworth Bentley and Faune Chambers. Special guests walking the red carpet for the evening included, Kym Whitley, Dorien Wilson, who played Prof. Stanley Oglevee from The Parkers, 2012 Olympic Silver Medal Winner in VolleyBall, Denisee Hooker and a long list of others.

Throughout the weekend, this multifaceted program also offered educational, inspirational and thought provoking sessions from the church perspective to top entertainment professionals with nearly 100 of the industry’s top entertainers and executives leading more than 20 interactive discussions, workshops and Master Class sessions, covering the spectrum of music, television, film, radio, creative development, branding, management and new media.
