A man accused of threatening his wife and son was arrested thanks to the teamwork of the Richmond and Henrico police forces.
Police reported that Emanuel Key, 41, broke into his wife’s home on Thursday, made contact with his adult son and then departed.
He was found by Henrico police in his home, but when they attempted to serve him with a Richmond warrant, Key refused to acquiesce to their request.
After it was revealed that Key’s young son was with him, the Henrico SWAT team was called in to deal with the situation. After hours of negotiation, the officers finally entered the home at 4am and arrested Key. The child remained unharmed.
Key has been charged with breaking and entering with intention to commit and felony and violation of a protective order.
