Sometimes it’s not easy for the secular world to be accepted by the saints, but God’s love and the message of hope can overcome any perceived barrier between urban music and the good news we know as Gospel music. We recently caught up with R&B powerhouse singer/songwriter Lil’ Mo, who’s no stranger to Gospel being birthed into a devoted ministerial heritage with her parents Bishop Jacob and First Lady Cynthia Loving Sr., to talk a little about the transition, her upbringing and making more Gospel music.

You might not know all of her music, but if you recall Lil’ Mo lifted her voice to the heavens on the remake of The Clark Sisters’ hit “Endow Me” along with R&B’s Faith Evans, Fantasia and Coko (of SWV). Check out the backstage interview with Lil’ Mo just moments after the 2012 Urban Soul Cafe Access Granted kick off at the 27th Annual Stellar Awards Weekend in Nashville, TN.
