How do you obtain a high school diploma without ever stepping into a classroom? UMH!

The Commonwealth of Virginia is offering students an opportunity to earn a high school diploma without ever stepping into a classroom. The Virginia Department of Education will open 100 spaces this fall as a pilot to test the program. If the pilot turns out to be a success, officials could make the program permanent.

“How this will work will vary greatly from school to school and student to student, but it will have all the requirements, all of the credits and the electives to graduate with an advanced studies diploma or a standard diploma,” department spokesman Charles Pyle told The Daily Progress.
