I’m not a big girl, but I stand united with my plus-size sisters. I’m angry about major networks rejecting the Lane Bryant ads for nudity. Oh, excuse me. The networks aren’t saying the ads are being outright rejected, but that’s what they’re basically doing since they won’t air the ads as is. They want the ads to be edited and resubmitted.

Here’s the thing, the ads feature plus-sized women in bras and panties boxing, laughing, breast feeding and doing yoga poses. There are curves and rolls. It made me see big girls in a different light. All are tasteful.

These aren’t the skinny women in the Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated ads. These are the women who have bodies like our mothers, our sisters and our daughters. They look like average women who love their bodies, but probably haven’t fit in single digits since they hit puberty.

They deserve to be seen not shamed.
