Parents, educators and communities it’s time we come together help stop chronic absence in our schools. Absences add up leaving one out of every ten students missing nearly a month or 30-days of school every year.
Miss Community is “SpokeMom” for the “Attendance Awareness” campaign to help students build a habit of good attendance. According to Bridging Richmond, absences in kindergarten, leads to difficulties with reading in the third grade. Also, absences in the sixth grade, is a warning sign that those students will drop out of high school.
Let’s help our students excel with their presence in the classroom. #SchoolEveryDay
