Amid the immigration controversy, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam ordered Virginia National Guardsmen and helicopter back from the border. He said when the state deployed them he thought they would be stopping criminals and security threats from coming into the U.S., not tearing apart families. Governor Northam wants nothing to do with separating immigrant children from their parents. He said if President’s Trump’s administration wants to continue enforcing this inhumane policy, Virginia will not help.
