If you or your praise dance team could use $1000, you may want to enter the second annual “Praise It Up” dance competition. Auditions will be held in April and the competition is tentatively slated for June 2010, in Los Angeles. Last year’s competition was held at Bethlehem Temple Church in Rialto, CA. The winner was Divine Praise Dancers. They not only won the $1000 grand prize they were also awarded a scholarship to the Lula Washington Dance Theater in L.A.

“Praise It Up” is the brainchild of television producer, MeLeah Robinson. Born in Ohio, MeLeah is the founder of “From The Heart Productions”, which is a non-profit organization, located in Southern California that supports inner city kids who cannot afford dance, acting or music lessons. In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, Mrs. Robinson is also the CEO of “Bright Star Kids Talent Management”, a company that represents children in the entertainment industry.

This ministry-minded businesswoman said her trust in God, support of her family and in “staying in faith” as the reasons she has cultivated a successful career in the entertainment industry. Meleah’s on camera and behind the camera credits include, Talent Coordinator for the 2008 B.E.T. Awards, Associate Producer of the second season of Sunday’s Best with host, Kirk Franklin, and video appearances with BeBe and CeCe Winans and Chico DeBarge.

MeLeah’s future plans are to establish a performing arts school for talented inner city youth and use her gifts to bring Glory to God. She will continue to produce shows that educate young people about aids awareness, spirituality, education and the performing arts. She strongly believes that she can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens her (Phil. 4:13).
