BET Networks will host a Haitian benefit concert and telethon Feb. 5 that will feature performances by Wyclef Jean [ tickets ], Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Ludacris and Justin Bieber, among many others.
“SOS Saving Ourselves — Help for Haiti,” which will be taped at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL, also will feature performances by Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Jazmine Sullivan, Pitbull, Akon, Robin Thicke, Monica, Kirk Franklin, (left) Nas and Damian Marley, according to a press release.
The concert telethon will be hosted by Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Pharrell. Additional celebrity participants include Trey Songz, Common, David Banner, Missy Elliott, Gloria Estefan, Pete Wentz, Chrisette Michelle, Jeremih, The Dream, Jason Derulo, T-Pain and Sean Kingston.
“SOS” will air simultaneously on BET, MTV, VH1 and CENTRIC at 8:00 pm ET/PT. Proceeds from the event will go to Yele Haiti, CARE, Project MediShare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.
