Award winning Gospel recording stars Kirk Franklin and Shirley Caesar will be recognized at this year’s Essence Music Festival !
Set to take place in New Orleans, LA with a line up that includes Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Keri Hilson, and Jill Scott, Franklin and Caesar will be honored during a special ‘All Star Tribute’ that also includes Bishop Paul and Pastor Debra Morton.
According to organizers, the all-star tribute will cap off the Essence Music Festival weekend (July 2 – 4) in New Orleans.
News of the forthcoming tribute follows the addition of Bishop T.D. Jakes to the festival’s anticipated empowerment seminars line up.
Jakes, also recognized for empowering literary works, will deliver a Saturday keynote address on the Power Of Mentoring, focusing on the power of mentors and their role in keeping youth on track through encouragement and support.
