A row house collapsed in South Philadelphia this morning, injuring at least eight people.

According to authorities, six adults and two children were injured.

There was at least one row house that collapsed and other neighboring homes have partially collapsed.

Fire officials stated that the home that collapsed was in the middle of renovation and collapsed because of a water heater explosion.

The explosion occurred at about 11 a.m. in the 400 block of Daly Street.

The extent of the injuries are not known at this time.
