Nashville, TN — (September 5, 2017) — Due to the nature of the list of catastrophic events that are currently affecting our country, including the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, concerns surrounding Hurricane Irma and spiked gas prices, Dr. Bobby Jones and his committee have decided to reschedule the Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat.

The Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat was set to return to the home of its visionary, Dr. Bobby Jones, in Nashville, TN, October 15 – 17, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2261 Murfreesboro Road, Nashville, TN., however, “after looking at so much devastation from Hurricane Harvey and the many lives that it has affected, rescheduling the Retreat is the right thing to do.  It has been especially hard for some of our industry family, especially those who live in the Houston, Texas area, so we have decided to reschedule this event to a more conducive time for everyone,” says Dr. Jones.

For those who have already registered for talent and/or media there are several options to insure your placement in our endeavors. For more information, please contact Jimmy Bender (Talent) 615.873.0646 @ jimmy@bobbyjonesentertainment.com OR Tonya Osborne  (Media) 615.873.0949 @ info@bobbyjonesentertainment.com .

When the Retreat is rescheduled, expect a Meet and Greet, Panel Discussions, Workshops, One-On-One Conversations and of course nightly concerts and television tapings.

Still on board to co-host the Retreat will be Dr. Bobby Jones and Sheilah Belle “The Belle” the CEO of The Belle Report, who will also be sharing her testimony of overcoming Breast Cancer.

For years Dr. Bobby Jones has been credited with finding talent and providing platforms to showcase those who have been called to sing, dance, rap and empower the music industry to those who simply want to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.  Dr. Jones originally created these platforms in some of Las Vegas’ most palatial hotel ballroom settings, including the Aladdin Hotel, Mirage Hotel & Casino, the Rio All-Suite Hotel, the MGM Grand and the Venetian Las Vegas Hotel.

The Industry Retreat normally lasts for three days and provides a strong networking setting for national, independent and new artists to music industry executives to come together on the same playing field to discuss issues, concerns and to provide support for one another.

From its origin at the Aladdin Hotel to the Mirage Hotel everyone from Vickie Winans, Kim Burrell, Yolanda Adams, Merdean Gales, Byron Cage, Dottie Peoples, Sheilah Belle, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Rev. James Moore, Lisa Collins, Kurt Carr, Veda Brown, Deitrick Haddon, Jawn Murray, Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, Paul Porter, Lexi,  Johnny Sanders, Florence LaRue, Melvin Williams, Kenny Taylor, Theresa Hairston, Albertina Walker, Dorothy Norwood, Al “The Bishop” Hobbs, Bishop Sam Williams, Minister Earl Bynum and the list goes on, could be found hopping off a plane around the beginning of December and heading for the Retreat.

Because of the success of the Retreat, a summer location was eventually added to the yearly schedule.  The logical summer city of choice was Ft. Lauderdale, Florida along with the upscale Westin Diplomat Hotel as the site location.

It was in these settings where you could always find national, independent and new artists all sitting at the same table discussing hot topics that would bring everyone together.  “We became a family and established real trusting long lasting friendships,” says The Belle.  When we return, Dr. Jones says you can expect this same type of synergy during the retreat during a time when there is more division than togetherness.
