St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas and opened on February 4, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee.  Its mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states in the USA and from around the world.

Actress, producer, social activist and International Outreach Director shared with me that her dad Danny didn’t want “no child turned away from parent’s inability to pay”.  Thomas said that St. Jude covers all travel, lodging, food, treatment and medications to save a child’s life.

St Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute.

The daily operating cost for St. Jude is $1.7 million, which is primarily covered by public contributions. Let’s continue to assist St. Jude in cutting edge technology and research. Our children need a fighting chance to live.

Become a Partner in Hope for just $20 a month that’s 67 cents a day to provide medical treatment to children suffering from diseases like cancer and sickle cell. Be apart of the Praise 104.7 Fm St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital radiothon call right now to 800-411-9898.
