New York, NY – America is looking at another incident, involving a White Police Officer, taking the life of an unarmed man. This time, the tragedy comes out of New York City following a grand jury decision NOT to charge a white police officer who is responsible for killing an unarmed African American after using a chokehold move. As a result, the decision has sparked protest in downtown New York with the Justice Department now saying it will investigate the incident further.

According to filed reports, Eric Garner, 43, was illegally selling cigarettes on July 17 when police officers tackled him and put him in a chokehold. Police said that the father of six had resisted arrest.

Meanwhile the city’s medical examiner has ruled Garner’s death as a homicide.

The deadly incident that took place on Staten Island was all captured on video, which quickly spread over the Internet.

After hearing the grand jury decision on Wednesday several people were found protesting in Grand Central Terminal’s main hall in Midtown Manhattan and in Times Square, about 200 people gathered, chanting “No indictment is denial. We want a public trial.”
