Henrico Fire officials are reminding people that when the power goes out, turn off all appliances. Residents of an eastern Henrico apartment building had to be displaced because someone forgot to turn off the stove. The Henrico Fire Marshal’s office has determined that when the power was restored on Saturday at the Newbridge Apartments, the food left on the stove overheated and caught fire. Thankfully, nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
