Charlotte NAACP leaders just announced in a news conference (above) that video will in fact be released by Charlotte police in the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott who was gunned down earlier this week.

The U.S. Justice Department has launched an investigation also into the case however a city spokesman could not confirm that the investigation has begun or will happen.

“We have lost confidence and trust in the handling of this situation” – NAACP member the Rev. Milton Williams Jr.

In the meantime, there is heavy police and National Guard presence in uptown Charlotte and peaceful protests will continue as the nation waits for the video to be released.

This video will be evidence for any future legal cases and will bring clarity to the community and family of Keith Lamont Scott.
