Finally after months of conversations, vetting and waiting Joe Biden Jr., has selected Senator Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate, making his decision a historic moment for the country.  As you know Harris, 55 is remembered for sharply criticizing Biden during the Democratic Primaries and went after him hard before she pulled out of the presidential race.  But with that in mind, she is now seasoned, vetted and ready to go to work.

As a result, today she becomes the first Black woman and the first person of Indian descent to be nominated for a national office by a major party.  She also become the fourth woman in U.S. history to be chosen for a presidential ticket.

Mr. Biden made his announcement in a rather low key way via text message: “Joe Biden here. Big news: I’ve chosen Kamala Harris as my running mate. Together, with you, we’re going to beat Trump.”

Biden and Harris are both expected to appear together in Wilmington, Del., later today.

The question now is what do you think?  Does Senator Harris add or take away from the Democratic ticket?
