Chicago, IL – One month after being admitted to a local Chicago Hospital, and later released to a specialty hospital, Albertina Walker, hailed as the “Queen of Gospel”, and founder of the Caravans continues to recover and getting stronger each day.
It was on Tuesday afternoon, September 7th, Queen Albertina had a surgical procedure for a tracheostomy and doctors say it was a success.
Since the procedure, Queen Albertina is still adjusting but she is very alert and is able to sit up in bed.
Her nephews Garvey Walker, Gerald Walker along with her granddaughter Tina, as well as her good friend Pam Morris, Inez Andrew, Dorothy Norwood, Doris Washington Green and Chicago area pastors and many others have been constantly be her side.
