The International Diabetes Federation in association with millions of people all over the world will celebrate World Diabetes Day on Sunday, November 14, 2010. The campaign is celebrated each year to bring awareness and advocacy for diabetes.

A variety of activities such as free screenings, workshops, exhibitions and other major events are activated throughout the world. Started in 1991, the celebrated day was created to mark the birthday of Fredrick Banting who along with Charles Best, first conceived the idea which led to the discovery of insulin in 1992.
