On the heels of promoting her new CD, For Always: The Best of CeCe Winans… gospel’s most beloved female vocalist makes way for a jam packed year…
There’s no end in sight for the multifaceted CeCe Winans, having appeared on national talk shows, a myriad of award shows, telethons, and she even sang before the Pope in Rome, Italy. Her loyal fan base and crossover appeal continues to grow finding a home in the hearts of new listeners with each release.
Winans has recorded over 18 CDs (ten solo projects and eight duet releases with her brother BeBe). The siblings’ current offering, Still, garnered 11 Stellar Award nominations, including nods for Female Vocalist of the Year and Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year. Winners will be announced Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Stellar Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. On Thursday, January 27, the siblings will be honored with the Spirit Enlightenment Award at a Prayer Breakfast kicking off the activities for the Trumpet Awards in Atlanta, Georgia. Later in the year, BeBe and CeCe will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for their outstanding accomplishments in the music industry.
In addition to her love for music, Winans has found another passion – equipping our youth for the future, and imparting hope into their lives via a youth conference (Always Sisters Forever Brothers) founded in 2005.
