Here is the latest in the news you need to know about. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a small business bill by a 390-23 margin. The bill would provide small businesses access to capitol for expansion without the red tape.
Governor Bob McDonnell’s proposed changes to teachers and principal contracts was sent back to committee for more study. The education bill was killed in the Virginia General Assembly for this year’s session.
The House of Delegates passed the Senate version of the “voter ID” bill. The bill is going to Governor Bob McDonnell’s desk to be signed into law, effective July 1, 2012. And, President Barack Obama will deliver a speech at the Rolls Royce facility in Prince George County, VA and will layout his plan for the expansion of manufacturing sites.
