Brooklyn-based singer and longtime industry standout Anaysha Figueroa-Cooper has set Twitter, Instagram & Facebook ablaze with photos of her official contract signing with Light Records.
If you aren’t familiar with Anaysha, she’s the younger sister of Timiney Figueroa-Caton (lead singer on Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Crusade Choir’s cult favorite “Calling My Name” and also current ensemble vocalist with Kurt Carr).
Anaysha’s claim to fame comes with her signature soprano as she’s offered background vocals for Kirk Franklin and various projects over the past decade including background vocals on the hit BET gospel competition Sunday Best.
With an overwhelming response via social media this week, this deal is long overdue so we’re excited to see Anaysha finally step into her own. Look for her debut album in 2013. Congratulations Anaysha! We look forward to a might move of God in your life and musical career.
