New Orleans, Louisiana – The banks of the St John Bayou in the city of New Orleans was alive with great gospel music thanks to visionary Bishop Ryan Warner and Versatile Entertainments Praise Fest NOLA 2012. Now in its 4th year, the festival has grown into a recognized annual Fall gathering that is supported by the City of New Orleans and is now attracting sponsorship from major corporations to include Walgreens, Hertz Corporation, Aarons Rentnals to name a few. With the city skyline in view, canoes paused on the bayou to soak in the celestial sounds submitted by top music ministries throughout the city and nation. With Evelyn Turrentine Agee as one of the lead headliners, the festival was an authentic potpourri of talent.

The three day event offered much more than music.  “I love the fact that instead of having the community come to us for Praise Fest, I decided to take the event into the community” states CEO Bishop Warner. In addition to three great days of music ministries, health and dental screenings were available at no charge while Walgreens offered free flu shots.  Food vendors were also on site offering a varied fare to include New Orleans favorites such as Soft Shell Crab PoBoys, Red Beans & Rice, Jambalya, Blackened Chicken, Crawfish Sausage and more. While the kids bounced in the Moon Bounce, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, and fresh lemonade were available to everyone.

Beginning Friday with a day dedicated to Seniors and Students, the balance of the week-end hosted ministries to include Co-Sponsor Pastor Tyrone Jefferson & Abundant Life Tabernacle, Bishop Lester Love & The City of Love, Evelyn Turrentine-Agee, The Wardlaw Brothers, Josh Kagler & HPC, Minister Tyronne Foster & ARC Singers, Algeron Wright, Stephen Steward, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, and many more.  “This event has grown tremendously since Bishop Warner realized and fostered the vision. Now attracting major sponsorship, it makes it much easier to make the vision, a reality” Kenny Taylor – Versatile Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer comments.

Media outlets supporting the event includes Path Magazine, The J.Hardy Agency, The Belle Report, Another Level of Praize, TCP Magazine, One Voice Media and WYLD 940am. Versatile Entertainment are the sponsors of the Bobby Jones Gospel in New Orleans tapings and works closely with the City of New Orleans in a range of community activities and services.

Praise Fest NOLA is already on the books for next year. October 18-20, 2013 are the dates. May this serve as your personal invitation.
