March 25th“Rejoice With Me” CD Release
With Rousing Worship Tune “Faithful Is He”
Longtime BET TV personality and Grammy Award winning recording artist Bobby Jones and his beloved NSC (Nashville Super Choir) are prepping for their March 25th gospel CD release “Rejoice with Me” (EchoPark JDI). The soul-stirring project features cameos by Ann Nesby, Howard Hewett, Shawn McLemore, Tommye Young West, Renee Spearman, Paul Jackson Jr. and members of NSC. The title song features R&B legend Faith Evans and it has been receiving Top 20 airplay on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart for over three months.
Now, EchoPark JDI is giving gospel music fans a peak into the other musical goodies contained in this musical candy box. Dr. Jones passionately narrates the opening of the uplifting praise and worship ballad “Faithful Is He” before turning over the microphone to Kyla Jade and Louis Cross who nail the song in a dramatic display of vocal utterances with the NSC providing warmly rousing vocal support. It’s one of the most endearing and enjoyable performances of Dr. Jones’ long and storied career. For the last 33 years, Dr. Bobby Jones has spent his Sunday mornings rejoicing with millions of gospel lovers around the globe who tune in to his weekly Black Entertainment Television (BET) program, “Bobby Jones Gospel.” It’s the longest running program in cable TV history. He’s also released a dozen or so album releases and hosted syndicated radio programs like his weekly “Bobby Jones Countdown.” Jones formed the New Life Singers in 1975. He later expanded the group’s membership and changed its name to NSC (Nashville Super Choir).
