NAACP NC President Rev. William Barber announced a major voter registration drive during Unity In The Community 2014. Barber said the NAACP, Forward Together Movement, the LightNC and several other organizations were working together to register thousands of North Carolineans to vote in this year’s mid-term elections.
During his announcement/sermon, Barber implored Unity festival-goers to come together and register to vote and to encourage their friends to register. The deadline to register for this year’s election is Oct. 10.
