Election Day is almost here. Don’t forget to check your voter status or your polling location, please visit the Department of Elections. All registrar locations are available on the site.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The voter polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Last Day to Vote Absentee by-mail: October 28, 2014, no later than 5:00 p.m. at your local registrar’s office
Last Day to Vote Absentee in-person: November 1, 2014, must vote before your registrar’s office closing
Acceptable forms of identification to present at the voter polls on election day:
*Valid Virginia Driver’s License
*DMV-Issued Photo Identification Card
*Valid Employee Photo Identification Card
*Valid United States Passport
*Government-Issued Photo Identification Card
*Valid College or University Student Photo Identification Card
*New Virginia Voter Photo Identification Card
Please note: If you do not have an acceptable form of photo identification, contact your local registrar’s office for a free Virginia Voter Photo Identification Card.
If you do not present a photo ID at the voter polls, you can vote a provisional ballot. For more details about the new voter requirements and additional information, please visit the Virginia Department of Elections.
