Richmond, Va- Richmond will have a new police chief by this afternoon. Mayor Dwight C. Jones will hold a personnel press conference today at 1pm to name the city’s new chief of police. Former chief Ray Tarasovic retired in January after serving for two years following a temporary retirement.
Mayor Jones said at a press conference last month he expects to promote from within Richmond Police’s ranks.
