An Employee at Denny’s located in the 5300 Block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Spotsylvania is behind bars for allegedly spiking coffee and soda. A waitress and waiter sipping on a cup of coffee and soda smelled bleach in their drinks. The pair immediately contacted the store manager. Police were called and the cook, 29 year old Jermaine Johnson of Fredericksburg, was arrested and charged with two counts of altering a drink with the intent to harm. Police are trying to figure out a motive for the attack. Johnson told police he meant to do it. The two employees who ingested the bad drinks weren’t seriously injured.
