WDBJ-7 TV Reporter Alison Parker and Cameraman Adam Ward who were shot to death while on the air last week we will be remembered at Virginia Tech’s season opener football game. The university announced yesterday it will wear a helmet sticker when facing number-one Ohio State on Labor Day night.
On Sunday, the VT Hokies announced they will have a decal on their helmets with the number 7 surrounded by turquoise ribbon and a maroon ribbon. Under the ribbons are the initials AP and AW for Alison Parker and Adam Ward. The number 7 is for WDBJ-7 where they worked while the turquoise ribbon represents Parker’s favorite color. The maroon ribbon represents Virginia Tech, Ward’s alma mater.
