Ahmed Mohamed accepted President Obama’s invitation to the White House this week, but Sarah Palin’s daughter thinks the proposal shouldn’t have been given at all.

After the 14-year-old’s homemade clock was mistaken for a bomb, Mohamed was arrested and suspended from his Irving, Texas high school for three days. His story received massive social media attention, the charges were dropped, and the teen was praised for his bright mind. One of the biggest praises stemmed from President Obama, who asked Mohamed to come tour the White House with his clock.

But Bristol Palin, a reality star and oldest daughter of former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, thinks the president did not have the right to get involved in the matter.

The 24-year-old said Obama is promoting racial divide.

Bristol writes:

This is the kind of stuff Obama needs to STAY out of. This encourages more racial strife that is already going on with the “Black Lives Matter” crowd and encourages victimhood.

The police made a mistake, clearly.

But why put more people against them? Why egg it on?  Childish games like this from our president have divided our country…  even more today than when he was elected.

Despite her thoughts, Ahmed continues to receive encouragement for his courage and positive attitude.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Thursday he doesn’t believe the teen needed to be handcuffed by police officers during the incident. He also told reporters during his multi-city grassroots tour that teens like Mohamed should be celebrated for their creative minds, not ridiculed.

The Dallas Morning News reports:

“The last thing we want to do is put handcuffs on a kid unjustifiably,” he said. ” Just call this a tragic situation. It looks like the commitment to law enforcement may have gone too far and didn’t balance all the facts. One of the most important things that law enforcement and school officials can do is to insure the safety and security of students in the classroom,” Abbott continued. “At the same time we want to create an environment where children feel they can go learn.”

Mohamed and his family said he won’t be returning to MacArthur High School. He also hasn’t received his clock back from police.
