MEDIA ALERT: From Richmond 2015
Road closures for the UCI Road World Championships on Monday, September 21 will begin at 8:00 a.m. and be completed by 9:00 a.m. before the Junior Women’s Individual Time Trial begins at 10:00 a.m. The race starts on 3rd street between Leigh and Clay streets and finishes at the intersection of 5th and Broad streets downtown. This race will be followed by the U23 Men’s Individual Time Trial at 11:30 a.m. The last race is projected to end by 3:50 p.m. with roads reopening around 4:50 p.m.
Areas significantly impacted by road closures include the downtown area, Monument Avenue, Franklin Street, Belvidere, the Lee Bridge and Broad Street.
