According to the World Health Organization, Sierra Leone is officially free of the Ebola virus. It’s been 42 days since the last Ebola patient was cleared, after two tests for the virus produced negative results. “WHO commends the government and people of Sierra Leone for the significant achievement of ending this Ebola outbreak,” said Dr. Anders Nordstrom, a Sierra Leone rep for the World Health Organization. “This new phase is crucial as our goal is to ensure a resilient zero and that we can detect and respond to any potential flare-ups.” Although the news seems promising for Sierra Leone, the countries surrounding it are still struggling with overcoming the Ebola outbreak. In the past 21 days, WHO has reported seven new cases of Ebola in Guinea. Sierra Leone will now begin a rigorous 90-day surveillance phase. Read more.


President Obama to Meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

President Obama is slated to have a sit-down with Israeli leader Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday. This will be the first time the two come face-to-face after Prime Minister Netanyahu lost his fight against the Iran nuclear deal. The Obama administration wants him to commit to a two-state plan with Palestinians, while Netanyahu is looking to get a military aid package for Israel that will last over the course of a decade. The country currently receives $3.1 billion from the U.S. every year. According to U.S. officials, President Obama will try to convince the Prime Minister to focus on ending the violence between the two and having a Palestinian state beside Israel. New TV One Docu-Series Will Put a Spin on Reality TV

An upcoming TV One series will put a new spin on reality television. The series, which is being dubbed The Next 15, will follow the journeys of former reality stars as they try to move forward with their careers after their ‘15 minutes of fame’ are up. “The revolution is being televised and it is The Next 15!” said creator and executive producer Carlos King. “This groundbreaking series showcases some of reality’s most iconic personalities in a spotlight like you’ve never seen them before, while addressing the viewer’s curiosity of what it takes to make a reality show. The veil has finally been lifted giving viewers exclusive access into the production process of a docu-series.” Among those who will be featured on the show include, Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard from Flavor of LoveClaudia Jordan from The Real Housewives of AtlantaJennifer Brown from Basketball WivesRaymond ‘Benzino’ Scott from Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, and others. Two Men Stabbed at Rapper RZA’s New Jersey Home

Two men are in the hospital recovering from stab wounds after an argument turned violent at rapper RZA’s New Jersey home. According to officials, the incident occurred on Saturday at a residence in Millstone Township. Records revealed that the house belongs to Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs. He was performing at a festival in Texas on Saturday night. The injuries are not considered critical, and RZA’s reps have yet to release a statement about the incident. Read more.
