Governor Terry McAuliffe met with joint money committees in the Virginia General Assembly to outline his new Biennial Budget proposal. The budget is pushing more than one-billion dollars towards Virginia schools. This includes, the addition of more than 25-hundred teachers into the system and more than 430-million dollars in upgrading the standards of quality within in the school system. One of the governor’s many goals to upgrading Virginia’s education system through funding is to properly prepare students for the current and future state of the economy.
