In a heartfelt sermon Bishop Eddie Long revealed to his congregation at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church that he actually considered ending his own life after being “condemned from the four corners of the Earth.”
The Bishop has certainly been up against his fair share of scandal, having combatted lawsuits and allegations of sexual assault back in 2010. But he said that, regardless of the weight he felt on him, the love of those who surrounded him at home and in church was what kept him from going through with such a decision.
