I hope we can agree on something and that is keeping all children safe while at play. As we head into the summer months  my foot soldiers want children at play and not in emergency rooms for injuries known as “Trauma Season,” affiliation with gangs and the threat of being victimized by human trafficking. I hope you will agree to send our children to a safe and structure environment for nine weeks.

Miss Community’s 9th Annual Send-A-Kid to Camp radiothon is Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Radio One Richmond studios brought to by Radio One Richmond, the Alexander Lance Booker Foundation, the Enrichmond Foundation and NBC12. The Great Escape camps “Up Up and Away” will run June 27-August 26 at 12 facilities including USDA breakfast, lunch, 30-minutes of curriculum, arts and crafts, swimming, James River Exploration, outdoor sports, field trips and much more.
